Museum volunteers continue to create new programming exhibits and work on your research requests.
The Museum is now open to visitors on Tuesdays from 9 am to 4 pm and Wednesdays from 9 am to noon. Other times can be arranged by appointment. The safety of our volunteers and visitors is important to us. Volunteers and visitors will be required to wear masks and observe social distancing. Call or email to make an appointment, or stop on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Start your Halloween early with some socially distanced fun at the Tonganoxie Community Historical Society! Go on a story stroll and experience the pages of the children's classic "Barn Dance" come alive through music, animals, and activities. This event is a collaboration of the Tonganoxie Public Library and the Tonganoxie Community Historical Society.

Open Air – Open House for our new Spring at the Fairchild Dairy exhibit. This was an opportunity to enjoy some time outside, socially distanced and to learn about the spring at the new interpretive signage. Included was a video about the spring and the development of the exhibit. The spring exhibit is a permanent addition to our museum & grounds.

The spring Barn Block Workshop originally scheduled for Saturday March 28 from 9 am to 3 pm was cancelled due to Covid-19.
THE NEXT BARN BLOCK WORKSHOP WILL BE SCHEDULED IN THE SPRING OF 2021.

The annual TCHS Chili Supper was be held from 11am to 7pm at the United Methodist Church in downtown Tonganoxie.
The menu featured Chili, Vegetable Beef Soup, Baked Potato Bar with Homemade Desserts. It was excellent company for a delicious lunch or dinner, all while supporting our local museum at the same time!
